Problem
The floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the pool enclosure created high humidity and heat levels inside the pool facility.
Solution
Two 24-foot MacroAir fans were installed over the swimming pool area, along with four AVD370s fans over the VIP Deck overlooking the pool area.
Result
The MacroAir fans have helped to keep the heat and humidity levels down and the customers cool, comfortable, and happy.
Plunge San Diego is a historic landmark dating back to the early 1900s. It is also known to be one of the largest pools in Southern California! With floor-to-ceiling windows and a retractable roof, swimmers can enjoy the warm San Diego weather year-round. However, even with the sunny San Diego weather, those floor-to-ceiling windows created a greenhouse effect. Humidity and heat were getting trapped inside the building.
The Plunge decided to take the plunge with MacroAir fans in 2019. They installed two 24-foot diameter fans over the swimming pool. Since the installation, they have noticed a significant reduction in humidity and heat levels within the building. Darion Garrison, the director at Plunge San Diego says,

Seeing the effectiveness of the two MacroAir fans prompted them to buy four MacroAir AVD370s to put over the VIP Deck along the side of the facility. Garrison told us the fans have really helped with temperature control. He went on to say the AVD370s have helped keep their VIPs happy, smiling, and cool on those hot summer days.
