G. Smith Motorsports is a custom motorcycle manufacturer located about 30 minutes outside of New Orleans. Every vehicle that leaves the building is considered a work of art. Because of this, the company uses its 20,000 square-foot space as a museum-like showroom for entertaining high-end clients. It is crucial they are able to keep machinery and vehicles moisture-free, and also keep their visitors and staff cool and comfortable.
HVAC systems and box fans consume vast amounts of energy and are expensive to run. Additionally, their existing AC system didn’t have the power necessary to sufficiently cool the space.
When the team at G. Smith Motorsports started looking to fight the warm, humid days in Louisiana, they instinctively looked for cutting-edge technology with energy-saving benefits.
G. Smith Motorsports did their HVLS homework
The company compared different HVLS fans and undoubtedly selected MacroAir fans for their quality customer service and competitive pricing. The HVLS fans reduce humidity by continually redistributing air, which prevents the air from becoming saturated with moisture.
To supplement their HVAC system, the company installed two 20-foot AirVolution fans in the showroom. By adding the two fans, the results were felt right away!
“Our utility bill dropped immediately and we saw the savings in the first month, around $1,800!”
-Gary Smith Sr., president of G. Smith Motorsports
MacroAir’s HVLS fans allowed the company to run the AC system at a lower level and took away all moisture issues. Furthermore, the fans require little-to-no maintenance. Now, that’s a major win for G. Smith Motorsports!
“We don’t have a moisture issue anymore. It’s a cool fan and it goes with what we do. High-end fans with the high-end products that we offer.”
-Johnny Bombara, Service Manager at G. Smith Motorsports
